Morning Glory Farm is a historic farm located on Big Bear Ridge between Deary and Kendrick Idaho. Situated on 400 acres along Ingle Lane, named after pioneer Mr. Leon Ingle who settled the homestead around 1908. At the core of the property is the original 2-story, 3-bedroom farmhouse and hand-hewn, timber-framed barn and attached grain silo along with a handful of agricultural outbuildings. We operate a small scale, sustainably managed farm stay, agritourism center and event venue on the property. With a vision to preserve the history of this area, we believe historic preservation and cultural appreciation efforts are best set up to succeed when they are comprehensively planned to sustainably endure. With that in mind, our aim is to provide and facilitate hands-on educational and entertainment opportunities to experience what for many is a bygone era, giving young and old alike a chance to watch the food supply chain from start to finish by milking a cow and making butter, or helping a local farmer harvest garbanzos and then participating in crafting them into fresh hummus to be enjoyed on the barn patio overlooking the far-off Bitterroot Mountain Foothills. And to provide the context for multi-generational family reunions, gatherings, and celebrations, such as weddings. Our goal is that this event center will be a place to pause and appreciate another aspect of the beautiful Palouse region we are located in.
